Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Houston, Texas. Working plans call for the construction of a 12,000-square-foot clubhouse / community center; for site work for a clubhouse / community center; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The project scope is for a new Community Center to be located at 5803 Belfort. The center's size will be approximately 12,000 square feet and include an indoor gymnasium, meeting space, warming kitchen, recreational staff offices, restrooms, storage, and necessary support spaces. Associated demolition, parking lot upgrades or redevelopment, sidewalks, landscaping, and irrigation associated with the building, site detention, furniture, fixtures, equipment, IT and security, and civic art coordination will also be part of the project. There will need to be project coordination with a Houston Public Works detention and a park project being planned for Edgewood Park. A portion of Edgewood Park will be used to create 8.5 acres-feet of detention along with enhanced and renovated park amenities. This Project is in the 100-year flood plain.
