Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required to rehabilitate irrigation ditches as noted on the plans and as specified herein. Work shall include, but not be limited to ditch cleaning, clearing and grubbing, tree removal, herbicide application, reseeding and monitoring. B. Where indicated on the plans or as directed by the Engineer or SLCPU work may require removal of existing vegetation, recontouring side slopes, revegetation of impacted areas, placement of riprap, or herbicide application. C. Provide all necessary equipment, including safety equipment to effectively mow or remove the existing vegetation along ditch bank, and reseed with native species. D. At times, provide a certified herbicide applicator with invasive and noxious weed identification training to spot spray areas for invasive and/or noxious weed infestations. E. The Contractor shall provide a written report including photographs for each completed ditch segment. This report should include the general condition before and after preparation, the area of treatment in linear footage, methods used to rehabilitate the ditch, and what type and how much product was used. F. Maintain stormwater flows as specified in the contract documents. DESCRIPTION OF WORK A. The location of the work is: Along the Jordan & Salt Lake Canal, near Porter Rockwell Blvd. at 1300 West B. The work to be performed consists of furnishing and installing the equipment, facilities, services, and appurtenances indicated in the Contract Documents. The Work generally includes, but is not limited to, the following: Removal of the existing concrete lined channel and box culvert, temporary shoring of railroad embankment, installing a new concrete box culvert, precast modular block wall, and gravel access road.
