Site work for a civil project in Dallas Center, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

Work will generally include installing 17,025 LF of drainage tile ranging in size from 30" to 8". Includes three open cut gravel road tile crossings, one open cut bike trail crossing, and two county highway bored tile crossings. Work shall also include deepening approximately 1,200 LF of ditch and constructing a riprap drop structure. All associated work and incidentals required to complete the project are also included. Work on the improvement shall commence upon approval of the contract by the Board of Supervisors, and as stated in the Notice to Proceed. All work under the Contract must be completed, per Iowa Code Section 468.101, no later than March 15 th , 2025. Damages in the amount of $500.00 per day will be assessed for each day the work remains incomplete. Bid Security. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security, as defined in Section 468.35a of the Iowa Code in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, which includes Sections 1, 2 and 3. Owner Rights: The Board of Supervisors reserves their right to reject any and all bids. Bids will be considered and awarded based on the low Base Bid. Progress payments will be made in an amount equal to ninety percent (90%) of the work completed. Final payment will be made not less than thirty (30) days after completion of the work and acceptance by the Board, subject to the conditions and in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 468 of the Code of Iowa, as amended. Drainage District No. 105, Dallas County, Iowa, hereinafter called the Jurisdiction, has need of a qualified contractor to complete the work comprising the below referenced repair or improvement. The undersigned Bidder hereby proposes to complete the work comprising the below referenced repair or improvement as specified in the contract documents, which are officially on file with the Jurisdiction, in the office of the County Auditor, at the prices hereinafter provided in Part C of the Proposal, for the following described improvements: ROAD CROSSING WORK INCLUDES SECURING AND MAINTAINING ROAD WORK SIGNAGE FOR THE PLACEMENT OF FILL, GRADING AND SEEDING IN THE ROAD DITCHES. A. Work under this contract includes all materials, equipment, transportation, traffic control and associated work for the construction of the Tile Improvements as described in the Official Publication. B. This project consists of one contract for all work described. C. The construction work will need to be phased to facilitate timely construction of the improvements.
