Additional Information To bid on this project, contractors shall be required to provide a valid IDOT Certificate of Eligibility and obtain an approved LCDOT Authorization to Bid Project Location: various municipalities in Lake County, Illinois. The intersections are maintained by the Lake County Division of Transportation and the Illinois Department of Transportation. Proposals requiring prequalification of bidders will be issued only to those contractors who are qualified with the Department of Transportation. ILDOT - Removal of Existing Traffic Signal Equipment The work includes, the removal of existing traffic signal equipment, maintenance of existing traffic signal installation, installation of communication cabinets with layer III Network switches, fiber optical transceivers, power distribution unit and firewall appliance to traffic signal controllers and other related work. The work includes, but is not limited to, removal of existing traffic signal equipment, maintenance of existing traffic signal installation, the installation of layer III network switches, fiber optical transceivers, power distribution units, and firewall appliances to connect existing traffic signal controllers and expand the existing Lake County Division of Transportation ITS communication network. The work also includes all other incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the project as shown on the plans and described herein. Description: This work shall consist of furnishing and installing a Firewall used on the LCDOT Traffic Network. Description: This work shall consist of maintaining an existing communications cabinet that has been designated to remain in operation on Lake County's PASSAGE Network during construction. The project includes work on several IDOT maintained traffic signals listed above. The Contractor shall not be required to take maintenance of these IDOT maintained signals. The Contractor shall be responsible for any damage to the traffic signal equipment while working at the intersection according to the IDOT D1 special provision for MAINTENANCE OF EXISTING TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATION included herein.
