This work includes but may not be limited to: piping and pump modifications; bypass pumping; replacing valves and discharge piping; installation of a modified bypass assembly; construction of a new larger valve vaults; installation of guide rails for pump systems; replacement of existing wet well top; and restoration of all disturbed facilities. SCOPE OF WORK The project consists of the furnishing materials and labor to perform certain renovations, modifications and upgrades to the existing City of Pass Christian sewage lift station no 18. A brief description of the work to be provided is described below: a) REHABILITATION OF LIFT STATION NO. 18 Work may include but not be limited to the following: bypass pumping; remove existing discharge piping and valves; replace existing discharge piping with new to allow for passage through a proposed new valve vault with concrete top and 36” x 36” aluminum hatch cover, including new gate and check valves and connecting to the existing force main downstream of the existing station, replacement of the entire pump base/bowl to convert to horizontal discharge, while utilizing the existing motor and frame to allow for installation of the guide rail system; installation of the guide rail system; install a new stainless steel float assembly; install a new concrete top to the wet well with a 48” x 48” counterbalanced aluminum hatch cover; installation of a permanent bypass assembly; and, surface restoration, etc. The contractor shall be responsible for documenting that the removed material was properly disposed of at an approved disposal site.
