contact the above office 72 hours before the bid opening. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF REQUIRED SERVICES (Street Reconstruction)
A. Street Reconstruction
1. Perform necessary geotechnical studies and pavement analysis of deteriorated
street pavements to prepare recommended pavement rehabilitation strategies for
each street segment.
2. Prepare plans, specifications, and construction cost estimate (PS&E) generally
encompassing the following;
a. Removal and replacement of deteriorated pavement, curb, gutter and drive
approaches.
b. Construction of miscellaneous storm drainage and water quality improvements.
c. Construction of water mains in close coordination with Public Utilities (if
required).
d. Necessary utility relocation.
e. Construction of bike ways and bus stops.
f. Construction of sidewalk, access ramps, and trails.

g. Construction of crossings (trail and sidewalk)
h. Upgrades to water services.
i. Restore disturbed and provide new landscaping.
3. Provide all required additional survey beyond the initial survey provided by SLC
staff.
4. Coordinate with the Urban Forester to formulate tree protection procedures.
5. Site-verify all data collected and perform thorough and complete on-site inspection
to account for any variances.
6. Coordinate design preparations for any specific work project with existing
conditions and future plans of adjacent property owners.
7. Fully dimension all plans to adequately locate all parts of the new construction.
8. Traffic signal design if the selected concept requires modifications to traffic control
devices.
