The City of DeSoto is seeking proposals from qualified firms to deliver construction services for the renovation of the interior office area at the DeSoto Police Department, located at 714 E. Belt Line Road, DeSoto, TX 75115. This renovation is based on conceptual design drawings developed by the architect, which include demolition, new construction, and selective finish upgrades. The contractor selected will be responsible for carrying out the renovation in accordance with these drawings and notes. The objective of this initiative is to improve the functionality, security, and professional atmosphere of the DeSoto Police Department through the renovation of specific interior office areas. This renovation will meet current operational requirements, enhance sound privacy, refresh finishes to align with existing standards, and guarantee adherence to contemporary building and safety regulations. The project seeks to bolster the Police Department's mission by offering modern, efficient, and comfortable work environments for personnel, while reducing interference with ongoing law enforcement activities. The following General Scope of Work is envisioned for the project and should be considered when responding to the RFP. Nothing in this description shall be construed to limiting the potential scope of work to this description or to requiring that this description be included in the final scope of work for the project. Nothing in the following General Scope of Work should be construed as limiting the types of work that a potential Contractor may address in a response to this Request for Proposals.
