The Project generally involves the replacement of one (1) electrical main switchboard, one (1) water-cooled chiller, one (1) cooling tower, two (2) chilled water pumps, two (2) condenser water pumps, two (2) heating hot water boilers, two (2) heating hot water pumps, and upgrades to systems controls. It involves the installation of a new refrigerant monitoring system and purge exhaust. Replacement of the existing equipment and related items at Center for the Performing Arts per the Base Bid construction document. a. Replacement of existing cooling tower and condenser water pump. b. Replacement of existing chiller and chilled water pumps. c. Replacement of main electrical switchboard. d. DDC controls for newly install equipment. e. Emergency ventilation installation Each bid must be accompanied by an electronic pdf copy of a bidder's bond in the sum of not less than 10% of the total aggregate amount of the bid. Bonds must be issued by a surety that is an "admitted surety insurer" in the State of California and must name the City of San Jose as beneficiary. Bonds must be accompanied by an electronic pdf copy of the surety's power of attorney and a notary acknowledgement for the surety's signature. Bidders must retain the original wet-signed bidder's bond and provide it to the City upon request. The Contractor's Faithful Performance Bond shall be for 100% of the contract amount. Contractor's Payment Bond shall be for 100% of the contract amount. Bidders must have a valid California contractor's license, classification B and C-20 to bid this project.
