Renovation of an educational facility in Rohnert Park, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

**As of June 10, 2024 project was awarded but awarded amount is not available.** The Trustees of the California State University will receive sealed bid proposals in CSUBUY, for furnishing all labor and materials for construction of the Project, for the Sonoma State University. Sonoma State University is seeking bidders for replacing pumps and motors at Sonoma State University in the Art Pump House building. Scope of work is including but not limited to: 1. Provide labor, equipment, and material to remove and replace two existing pumps and motors at the Art pump house. (See Appendix A-D and and photos 1-2) 2. Replace old pumps and motors with two Gould 14RJLO short coupled turbine pumps and two 60HP US Hollow Shaft Motors. (See photos 1-2) 3. Salvage back to campus both existing 60 hp pump motors. (See photos 1-2) 4. Replace 10 inch check valves with new 10 inch globe type check valves. (See photo 3) 5. Replace 10 inch gate valves with gear operated 10 inch butterfly valves. (See photo 3) 6. Replace 10 inch Y strainer screen in piping system. (See photo 4-5) 7. Install zero to 100 PSI transducer with cable, miscellaneous electrical, and appropriate hardware to mount transducer into piping and connect electrical to VFD controls. (See photo 6-7) 8. University to install VFD near existing control. (See photo 7) 9. Remove and dispose of the old natural gas engine and demo concrete pad approximately 3 feet x 3 feet x 20 inches high. (See photo 8-9) 10. Dispose of a second old natural gas engine which is stationed outside the mechanical room and non operational. (See photo 10) 11. Startup new pumps and motors to verify they are operating at manufacturer designed specifications. 12. University will test for asbestos and lead hazardous materials. Contractor must follow University Asbestos and Lead Program as provided in Rider C while performing work if hazardous material is present A description of the Work to be performed, identified both as a task(s) and as a dollar amount or percentage of the overall Contract that the substituted business will perform. The substituted business(es), if approved, shall be required to perform a commercially useful function in the Contract pursuant to California Code of Regulations section 1896.6. A description of the work to be performed identified both as a task(s) and as a dollar amount or percentage of the overall contract that the substituted business will perform NOW, THEREFORE, if the aforesaid Principal is awarded the contract, and, within the time and manner required under the specifications, after the prescribed forms are presented to the principal for signature, enters into a written contract, in the prescribed form, in accordance with the bid, and files the two bonds with the Trustees, one to guarantee faithful performance and the other to guarantee payment for labor and materials, as required by law, then this obligation shall be null and void, otherwise, it shall be and remain in full force and virtue. In the event suit is brought upon this bond by the Obligee and judgment is recovered, the Surety shall pay all costs incurred by the Obligee in such suit. The time period for completion of the overall project shall be 135 calendar days from the construction start date as stated on the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages shall be $400.00 for each calendar day completion is delayed beyond the time prescribed for the project.
