Renovation of an educational facility in Lake Isabella, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Question Deadline 05/15/2024 All questions must be received by the Kern High School District, in written form [EMAIL kristan_mcwhorter@kernhigh.org] a minimum of seven (7) days prior to bid opening date. Remove UG utilities, Demo portables, remove interior fence, return site to designed pasture. This project is being funded using Federal funds, either in whole or in part, and thus the project is subject to all applicable Federal laws including but not limited to the Federal Regulations set forth in CFR Title 2, Part 200. Accordingly, all such Federal requirements, including but not limited to the requirements set forth in Article 78 of the General Conditions, must be met. The purpose of this survey was to identify asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) and lead-containing paints and coatings which may be disturbed during the upcoming demolition project. The visual inspection, bulk sampling, and survey documentation were performed by Christian Gonzalez and Arturo Sotelo. Mr. Gonzalez is a Division of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC# 22-7113) and a California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Certified Lead Inspector and Assessor (LRC-00005460), as required under California regulations. Mr. Sotelo is a AHERA Building Inspector and a CDPH Certified Lead Sampling Technician (LRC-00012005). Technical oversight was provided by Chris Chipponeri, who is a DOSH Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC# 10- 4633) and CDPH Certified Lead Inspector and Assessor (LRC-00000782). The scope of the survey and the services provided by FACS included: Performing a visual inspection of the project area to identify accessible suspect asbestoscontaining materials (ACMs) and lead-containing paints and coatings that will be disturbed during the planned project; Collection of bulk material samples for asbestos laboratory analysis by polarized light microscopy (PLM); Collection of bulk paint chip samples for lead laboratory analysis using atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS); Ensuring the technical quality of all work by using Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) accredited Building Inspectors; Ensuring the technical quality of all work by using California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Certified Lead Sampling Technicians and Inspector/Assessors; and Consolidating data and findings into a report format.
