This work will be to place an adjacent 136' of 36" Jacked Pipe with 3/4 " steel wall coated with a fusion bonded epoxy parallel to the east of the existing pipe using the same flowline elevations, and adding flared end sections. Bids will only be accepted by Contractors that are pre-qualified by the Kansas Department of Transportation, and others who have previously performed this type of work in the past. Proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of bid and made payable to the Kansas Turnpike Authority as guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract and give a performance bond as required if awarded the contract. The award of each contract shall be in accordance with the provisions of the Standard Specifications of the Kansas Department of Transportation, edition of 2015, and will be based upon the summation of the products of the unit prices and the approximate quantities.
