Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Savannah, Georgia. Completed plans call for the construction of a conference / convention center; for site work for a conference / convention center; hospitality development; and hospitality development.
The Georgia World Congress Center Authority will receive responses from firms specializing in construction management services. The Authority retains the right to reject any or all submittals, and to waive technicalities, irregularities, and informalities, or cancel this procurement at any time. From the time of advertisement of this solicitation until final award is made, interested firms are not allowed or permitted to communicate about this solicitation or scope with any staff or any official representatives of the Authority, GWCC, or other facilities of the Authority, or their consultants, except for submission of questions as instructed in the RFQ/RFP, or as provided by any existing work agreement(s). Finalists and Apparent Awardee(s) are restricted from making public statements or press releases about their selection as finalists or their apparent award. For violation of this restriction, the Authority reserves the right to reject the submittal of the offending respondent. The Project consists of a full-service hotel and conference center to be located to the west of the existing Savannah Convention Center. The truncated rectangular-shaped site is bounded by International Drive, Prospect Park, Harbor Street and Resort Drive, and sits just east of the existing slip number 3. The hotel is envisioned to be between twelve and sixteen stories and will have approximately 400 guestrooms. The conference component of the building will have approximately 40,000 net square feet of meeting space, with supporting spaces such as pre-function, registration and restrooms. There will be multiple F&B offerings within the hotel, including an all-day dining restaurant and a lobby bar. The hotel will also have an outdoor pool and pool deck that will take advantage of the views across the Savannah River to the city beyond. 6/12/2024 2:00 PM Deadline for written questions The preliminary Stated Cost Limitation (SCL) or construction cost of the Project is estimated at $150,000,000. The final SCL may be revised by the Owner due to final programmatic requirements, funding availability or other circumstances.
