Installation of a combined sewer overflow storage tank and all components including a proposed pumping station, odor control system, forcemain, gravity sewer system, regulator and netting chamber. General Electrical Work L.S. Generator L.S. Dewatering The work contemplated under this Contract shall be completed within 500 calendar days from the date of execution of the Contract in accordance with Article 13 'Time of Completion'. This project is funded in part by the New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Trust and the successful bidder must comply with all the provision of N.J.A.C. 7:22-9.1 et. seq. for the participation of Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Individuals (SED's). In general, the principal items of work under this Contract include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following: 1) Mobilization shall conform to the N.J.A.C. 7:14-2.9. 2) Site preparation, within the boundaries shown on the Contract Drawings as specified herein. 3) Installation of a combined sewer overflow tank including all concrete work and structural components such as tank foundation, tank walls, concrete channel knee walls, troughs, wet well pit, tank walkway and railing, ladders, air intake openings, louvers and dampers, tipping bucket system and associated appurtenances - including but not limited to water service line, motorized butterfly valves, couplings, parking lot restoration including striping and all other related appurtenances as specified herein or as shown on the Contract Drawings. 4) Installation of a combined sewer pumping station including two (2) 20 HP dry-pit pumps, motors and variable frequency drives, flow meters, two (2) sump pumps, restroom and all associated plumbing, painting, all structural components such as stairs and bridge crane hoist, concrete work, all interior piping and appurtenances such as combined sewer force main, combined sewer gravity piping, pipe supports, valves, backflow prevention device, fittings and other related appurtenances as specified herein or as shown on the Contract Drawings. 5) Installation of an odor control system including a granular activated carbon (GAC) reactor including duct work, duct support, expansion joints, balancing dampers and all other related appurtenances as specified herein or as shown on the Contract Drawings. 6) Installation of a netting chamber system including nets, bar screen, weir, and all concrete work as specified herein or as shown on the Contract Drawings. 7) Installation of a new regulator chamber as specified herein or as shown on the Contract Drawings. 8) Installation of approximately 4,220 L.F. of High Density Polyethylene Sewer Pipe sizes 15-inch to 48-inch including excavation, backfilling and compacting, surface restoration, dewatering, testing, demolition, paving Tonnelle Avenue and other related appurtenances as specified herein or as shown on the Contract Drawings. 9) Reconnection of existing sanitary laterals. 10) Installation of proposed combined sewer overflow (CSO) chambers, sanitary manholes, storm manholes, 5 O CSO manholes, 5 O CSO drop manholes, doghouse manhole and the modification of existing manholes including excavation, backfilling and compacting, surface restoration, dewatering, testing, and any demolition as specified herein or as shown on the Contract Drawings. 11) Installation of HVAC system including all interior duct work, dehumidifiers, supply diffusers, unit heaters, A/C, exterior roof fans, gas meter, and all other associated appurtenance as specified herein or as shown on the Contract Drawings. 12) Installation of all electrical work including lighting, installation of new automatic transfer switch, transformer, furnishing a new generator and all other associate electrical work specified herein and as outlined in the Contract Drawings. 13) Coordination of new pumps, motors, variable frequency drives, tipping buckets and valves into the existing SCADA system. 14) Dewatering. 15) Utility crossings. 16) Temporary support of all existing utilities, railroad tracks and concrete encasement and/or relocation, including storm, gas, water, sanitary and electric. 17) Site work, such as clearing, paving and general site restoration. 18) Provide all temporary services including power, lighting, heating, security and potable water. 19) Provide photographs, videos of construction site and surrounding area before construction commences. 20) Exploration of test pits, as required to ascertain the more exact location of utilities and other structures and any foundations for same, which might interfere with construction. The excavation of test pits shall be one of the first items of work. 21) Maintenance and Protection of traffic. 22) Work in New Jersey State Roads and compliance with New Jersey State Department of Public Works requirements. 23) Local permits and approvals as required. 24) Maintain continuous operation of the existing sanitary sewer systems without any disruption in operation and service, including temporary bypass pumping. 25) Schedule and coordinate the work with the Owner and other Contractors. 26) Daily clean-up of site, including removal of rubbish, and sweeping area, including dust control. 27) Soil erosion and sediment control. 28) Utility Mark Out 29) All other work required for a complete and satisfactory operating installation.
