Renovation of a municipal facility in Napa, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The project includes but is not limited to dismantling and off-hauling existing furniture and furnishing the three specified office areas with Herman Miller Canvas systems furniture. Engineer's Estimate: $90,000 Bids are required for the entire work called for by Specifications, and neither partial nor contingent bids will be considered. Per Public Contract Code section 20129, bids must be valid for 90 days from the date of bid opening. Pursuant to 1771.1 of the Labor Code, a contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defined in Labor Code 1770 et seq., unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5. It is not a violation of this section for an unregistered contractor to submit a bid that is authorized by Section 7029.1 of the Business and Professions Code or by Section 10164 or 20103.5 of the Public Contract Code, provided the contractor is registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 at the time the contract is awarded. Pursuant to Sections 1770, et. seq., of the California Labor Code, the contractor and all subcontractors shall pay not less than the prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations. Copies of such prevailing rate of per diem wages are on file at the Napa County Department of Public Works where copies will be made available to any interested party on request. These rate determinations may also be found on the State of California Department of Industrial Relations' website. Contractors and subcontractors shall also submit certified payroll records, employ apprentices, and comply with working hour conditions as required by the Labor Code. The Contractor shall possess a Class "B" or "C-61/D-34" license at the time of contract award. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price and a Labor and Material Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price with good and sufficient surety.
