Work comprising of ventilation system upgrades at the Cogen Building located in Monterey County, California for Monterey One Water (M1W). The project consists of the following: Replacing the Cogen Engine Room three (3) exhaust hoods and appurtenances at the Cogen Building. Each Bid shall be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or Bid Bond in an amount not be less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted Total Bid Price. A hard copy of the Bid Security must be received by Monterey One Water prior to the date and time of the bid opening, or the bid will be considered non-responsive. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price, PRIOR TO EXECUTION OF THE Contract. Each bond shall be in the forms set forth herein, shall be secured from a surety company that meets all State of California bonding requirements, as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120, and that is a California admitted surety insurer. M1W shall award the contract for the Project to the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder as determined by M1W from the Total Lump Sum Base Bid. M1W reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding process.
