Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a water / sewer project in Conway, Arkansas. Completed plans call for the addition of a water / sewer project; for the demolition of a water / sewer project; for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

Conway Corporation intends to make improvements and modifications to the Roger Q Mills Jr. Water Treatment Plant to expand the maximum treatment capacity of 24 million gallons per day (MGD) to 32 MGD. These improvements include adding a Raw Water Blending Structure, a Powdered Activated Carbon (PAC) Contactor Basin, a New Plant Rapid Mix/ Flocculation/ Sedimentation Basin, Filters, and, New PAC and Lime storage and feed building, a New Plant Backwash Storage Tank. Additionally, there will be modifications and rehabilitation to Existing Filters, Chemical Feed and Storage, and the High Service Pumping Station. Bidders must satisfy themselves with the accuracy of the work outlined in the estimated quantities in the Bid schedule by examining the site and reviewing the drawings and specifications, including the Addenda. After Bids have been submitted, the Bidder shall not assert that there was a misunderstanding concerning the quantitiesscope of Work or of the nature of the Work to be done. Bids shall be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check upon a national or state bank in an amount of five percent (5%) of the total maximum bid price payable without recourse to the Owner, or a bid bond in the same amount from a reliable State of Arkansas approved surety company, as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds within fifteen (15) days after notice of award of Contract to him. Such bid guarantee shall be made payable to CONWAY CORPORATION. The successful Bidder must furnish a performance and payment bond upon the form provided in the amount of one hundred per cent (100%) of the contract price from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Arkansas to act as surety, or other surety or sureties acceptable to the Owner. Any contract or contracts awarded under this invitation for bids will be subject to the requirements of the Arkansas Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) Programs as described in the contract documents. Bidders shall guarantee that qualified applicants for employment on this work will receive consideration for employment without regard to religion, race, color, creed, sex, age, national origin, physical handicap, disability, genetic information, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, political opinions or affiliation or any other consideration made unlawful by federal, state, or local laws. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order 11246, as amended. The requirements for Bidders and Contractors under this order are explained in the specifications. Each Bidder must comply with the requirements, terms, and conditions of the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission, the Disadvantaged, Minority and Women Business Enterprise (DBE/MBE/WBE) requirements, the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2014 Bids must remain in effect for 60 days after the bid opening date. Within 60 days from the bid date, the Owner may award the contract to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder or reject any or all bids for the project. CONWAY CORPORATION reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive formalities, informalities, or irregularities in the bids and bidding deemed to be in the best interests of the CONWAY CORPORATION, and to reject nonconforming, nonresponsive, or conditional bids.
