Renovation of a mixed-use development in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
This project is a single prime contract (general, mechanical, electrical, and technology combined) for a renovation to the existing Prairie Edge. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis; segretgated sub bids will not be accepted. Work is anticipated to start upon Awards of Contract which is anticipated to be the week of May 27, 2024. Work is to be completed prior to August 22, 2024. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the total bid in the form of certified check, credit union share draft, or surety bond written on an original AIA Document A310, Bid Bond, is required for this project at the time of Bid. The successful bidder will be required to provide surety Performance and Payment Bonds in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum. The right is reserved to reject any and all bids, or any part thereof, and to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract or contracts as shall be deemed in the best interest of the Owner This project is a single prime contract for a renovation to the existing Prairie Edge facility for the College Community School District. The project is comprised of finish upgrades in public and administrative areas including: cafiteria, corridors, entry, and offices along with the sectioning of 3 private office areas. Finishes include new flooring, ceilings, and wall finishes. The school serves approximately 50 K-12 students and is attached to the adjacent 4 Oaks facility.
