Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Sioux City, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The project is located on South Westcott Street from Macomb Avenue to Ridge Avenue and includes the construction of new watermain, sidewalk ramp construction, and stormwater drainage improvements Each bid must be made on a form furnished by the City and must be accompanied by a bid bond, a cashier's check or certified check of an Iowa bank or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States, or a certified share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, made payable to the City Treasurer of the City of Sioux City, Iowa. The check or draft may be cashed by the City Treasurer as liquidated damages in the event the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract within the ten (10) days after notice of award and post bond satisfactory to the City ensuring the faithful fulfillment of the contract. This project has an early start date of July 8, 2024 and, and a late start date of April 21, 2025. Work shall be completed within 50 Working Days. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. However, the City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, re-advertise for new bids and to waive informalities that may be in the best interest of the City. By virtue of statutory authority, a preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the state of Iowa and to Iowa domestic labor. SCOPE OF WORK - The Contractor shall perform everything required to be performed and shall provide and furnish all of the labor, materials, necessary tools, expendable equipment and complete in a workmanlike manner all the work required in connection with the construction of the South Westcott Street Watermain Replacement Project Macomb Avenue to Ridge Avenue in Sioux City, Iowa, all in strict accordance with the 2024 version of the Iowa Statewide Urban Design and Specifications (SUDAS), as further modified by the 2024 version of the Sioux City Supplement to SUDAS, and Special Provisions included in said contract documents; and in strict compliance with the Contractors bid and the other contract documents herein mentioned which are a part of this Contract; and the Contractor shall do everything required by this Contract and the other documents constituting a part thereof
