A.1 As Required Maintenance and Repairs (existing Kantech hardware)
A.1.1 The Work shall consist of as required repair and maintenance of existing Kantech door hardware in City owned facilities.
A.1.2 On average, there are five (5) to six (6) calls annually for service for existing equipment.
A.2 As Required Installation of New Kantech Equipment
A.2.1 The Work shall consist of as required installation services for Kantech door hardware in City owned facilities.
A.2.2 On average, the City adds four (4) to five (5) doors annually.
A.2.3 Indicate on the Bid Form average installation time per door.
A.3 The City does not guarantee any minimum or maximum volumes of work. Work shall not proceed without written authorization from the City.
A.4 The Contractor shall supply all Kantech components required and any other labour and materials to complete all maintenance, repair and installation Work.
A.5 The City reserves the right to publicly advertise any Kantech supply, service or installation work if deemed in the best interest of the City. The duration of the contract will be a three (3) year term July 4, 2024 - June 30, 2027, where upon it can be renewed for a one (1) year term thereafter, on similar conditions at the written request of the City and written acceptance of the successful Bidder. Pricing shall remain firm for the contract term. Indicate percentage increase/decrease on the Bid Form for the following:
A.3.1 Year 2 (July 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026);
A.3.2 Year 3 (July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027); and
A.3.3 Optional Year 4 (July 1, 2027 - June 30, 2028). Question Deadline 05/15/2024 Administrative inquiries and requests for clarification of the Bid process shall be made to the Procurement Manager in writing at purchasing@brandon.ca and must be received not less than five (5) business days prior to the date for closing of Bid
