The Town of Amherstburg is located in Southwestern Ontario, approximately 30 kilometers southwest of the City of Windsor and is one of seven lower-tier municipalities in the County of Essex. The current population of The Town of Amherstburg is just over 23,500. The Town of Amherstburg wishes to replace of approximately 500 residential water meters either inside the house or inside in an external meter pit. The majority of the meters are 16mm (5/8") x 19mm (3/4"), although there may be some 19mm (3/4") or 25mm (1") size meters. The tender quantities for each size and type of meter installation are estimated in the Form of Tender. The replacement of each meter is also to include the installation of a remote reading unit. Both the meter and the reading unit will be provided by the Town.
