Renovation of a municipal facility in Dubuque, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The extent of the work includes repairs to corrosion damaged columns and overhead door jambs at Dubuque County Secondary Roads maintenance shop located at 9533 Noonan Street in Dubuque, Iowa. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Iowa Code Section 26.8 and as specified by the Dubuque County Board of Supervisors. The bid security shall be 5% of the total amount of the bid. Work for repairs at plan grids 2.7/A.5, 3/A.5, and 3/A.7 (except for painting) shall be fully completed and ready for acceptance within 35 calendar days of receipt of the "Notice to Proceed." The remaining repair work shall be fully completed and ready for acceptance within 90 calendar days of the "Notice to Proceed." Liquidated damages in the amount of $500.00 per calendar day will be assessed for each day that the work shall remain uncompleted either period specified above, with due allowance for extension of contract period due to conditions beyond the control of the Contractor, as approved by the Dubuque County Board of Supervisors. Dubuque County Board of Supervisors hereby reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities and award a contract as deemed to be in the best interest of the county.
