The required technology has been pre-selected as Capstone Microturbines (https://www.capstonepowersolutions.com/). Initial load calculations identified the need for 3 (three) C65 Microturbines as a primary source of power. These natural gas Microturbines will be grid connected utilizing an automatic transfer switch (ATS), where grid power provided by Matanuska Electric Association (MEA) becomes the backup power source. The Project will include the following tasks: Design, Procurement, Construction, Installation and Commissioning. 4.02 Tasks 1) Design - The Project will follow standard design practices primarily including the requirement of engineered design drawings. Design drawings and details will include but are not limited to the following components: a. Site Design- This design component is anticipated to be simple and is intended to provide the overall layout of improvements including demolition, grading, utilities (existing and proposed), foundation design, fencing and other elements as required.b. Electrical Design- This design component will be the bulk of the design work for the Project. Design will include electrical site improvements and system tie-in for the proposed microturbine system. Electrical design will include details regarding equipment demo and placement within the existing building (plan and profile), line drawings, load calculations, conductor and conduit sizing, and details regarding grid tie as necessary for utility coordination and acceptance. c. Component Design- All proposed components shall have documented manufacturer's shop drawings, specifications, and performance standards. Components shall be specified as part of electrical design and engineering.
