The Fire Department of the City of New York seeks the services of a qualified General Contractor to provide on-call general contracting services for infrastructure upgrades, repairs, emergency repairs and renovation and rehabilitation of FDNY Facilities projects within the borough of Brooklyn. At the discretion of the FDNY, the contractor may be requested to work in other boroughs. The Department maintains approximately 350 facilities throughout the five boroughs of New York City. This contract is specific to the facilities located in Brooklyn. Failure of the Contractor to list a subcontractor and/or to report subcontractor payments in a timely fashion may result in the Agency declaring the Contractor in default of the Contract and will subject Contractor to liquidated damages in the amount of $100 per day for each day that the Contractor fails to identify a subcontractor along with the required information about the subcontractor and/or fails to report payments to a subcontractor, beyond the time frames set forth herein or in the notice from the City. For construction contracts, the provisions of Article 15 of the Standard Construction Contract shall govern the issue of liquidated damages. Rejection of All Bids. The Agency, upon written approval by the Agency Chief Contracting Officer, may reject all bids and may elect to re-solicit the bid in accordance with the Procurement Policy Board Rules or by other methods authorized by such Rules..
