Site work and paving for a road / highway in Tremont, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The work of this section consists of a Bituminous Surface Treatment Class A-2 on Towerline Rd. (CH 11). Traffic Control shall be in accordance with the applicable sections of the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, the applicable guidelines contained in the Illinois Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways, these Special Provisions, and any special details and Highway Standards contained herein and in the plans. At the pre-construction meeting, the Contractor shall furnish the name of the individual in his direct employ who is to be responsible for the installation and maintenance of the traffic control for this project. If the actual installation and maintenance are to be accomplished by a subcontractor, consent shall be requested of the Engineer at the time of the pre-construction meeting in accordance with Article 108.01 of the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. This shall not relieve the Contractor of the foregoing requirement for a responsible individual in his direct employ. The County will provide the Contractor the name of its representative who will be responsible for the administration of the Traffic Control Plan. Special attention is called to Articles 107.09, 107.14, 107.15, and Section 1106 of the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction and Highway Standards 701301, 701306, and 701901.
