This Contract provides for the replacement of Gate Valves, Main Water Pressure Valves, Backflow Preventers and Associated Plumbing at Golden Ring Maintenance Facility. The contractor shall undertake the following tasks, originating from the county's directive to turn offthe water supply to the building . Water Supply Shutdown Preparation: o Coordinate with county authorities to safely shut offthe water supply to the building. . Demolition: o Remove existing Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV), gate valves, backflow preventer, and associated piping. . Area Preparation: o Modify the area to accommodate new gate valves, PRV, and backflow preventer. . Piping Installation: o Install new copper piping and fittings as required, adhering to industry standards. Piping to be pressed fitted or sweated, sweating is preferred method. Gate Valve and Backflow Preventer Installation: Install two new gate valves and a new backflow preventer, ensuring proper functionality and alignment. Backflow preventer shall be for the main water supply to building. Ball Valve Installation: Install a new ball valve for enhanced control and isolation. Connection Integration: Connect new piping to the main waterline and tie to existing water piping within the building, incorporating necessary concrete work for stability. Pressure Testing: Conduct pressure tests on all new fittings and connections to verify integrity and safety. Heat Trace Installation: Install heat trace to the outdoor ball valve to prevent freezing and ensure operability in all weather conditions. Cleanup: Thoroughly clean the work area, disposing of debris and materials responsible.
