The Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County (ACCUG or Owner) is a unified city/county government located in the northeast section of the state of Georgia and is approximately sixty (60) miles northeast of Atlanta, Georgia. The estimated project construction value range is $6,400,000 to $7,900,000 US Dollars for the construction of the gravity sewer lines and other necessary appurtenances. To be given consideration, the request must be received at least five business days prior to the date fixed for Application submittal. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Project Notice to Proceed anticipated to be awarded to start construction as early as December 2024 The General Contractor Applicant, has corporate experience gained from having successfully completed at least three (3) gravity sewer installation projects within the past five (5) years The ACCUG reserves the right to reject any one or all Applications for Pre-Qualification submitted and to waive technicalities and informalities in making its evaluation of applications and determination of qualified applicants. This work shall replace an aging 30-inch concrete pipe trunk line and manholes located along the Middle Oconee River with a proposed 48-inch ductile iron pipe (DIP) and new 9ft diameter precast structures. This shall include the installation of approximately 8,400 linear feet (LF) of 48-inch Ductile Iron Pipe (DIP), 875 linear feet of 72- inch casings with anchors for stream crossings, and 50 precast concrete manholes. This work starts at the Middle Oconee Water Reclamation plant and ends in the vicinity of Dogwood Drive. Much of this work shall be new trench work located parallel to the existing facilities. There is one approximately 160 linear foot (LF) jack and bore under Macon Highway. All interconnections to the truck line shall be replaced a minimum 50 linear feet (LF) up stream from the trunk line with 12-inch Ductile Iron Pipe (DIP) or larger and a manhole installed. Along with this, work shall include erosion control and landscaping, several creek crossings, groundwater dewatering, as well as repair or replacement of items such as pavement, sidewalk, fences, and curbs. This work shall require large scale bypass pumping for the duration of the project. o Work includes traffic control and requires larger scale bypass pump arounds for the duration of the project. o Summary: The work to be performed will contain the following sizes and approximate length (lf) of DIP: a. 48" = 8,400 LF (DIP) b. 12" = 500 LF (DIP) All Work described above shall be performed as shown on the Drawings and as specified.
