Renovation of an educational facility in Davis, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 110,434-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility.
The Hutchison 1st Floor NPB Lab Renovation project consists of (3) 1,050 sq. ft. labs, (1) 1,050 sq. ft. shared research / office space, and (2) non-aquatic frog rooms Lab 1 (Muth) consists of demo of existing flooring, (1) ea. Wall Demo, removal of (1) casework elevation, installation of new epoxy countertops, new shelving, decommissioning of existing fume hood, and installation of new fume hood. Finish electrical. Lab 2 (Combs) consists of demo of existing flooring, workstations, and flooring stub ups. The installation includes new sheet flooring, new epoxy tops, and installation of relocated casework, finish electrical, and paint. Lab 3 (Fischer) consists of demo of existing casework, countertops, and floorings, Installation of new fume hood, sheet flooring, workstations, new casework, electrical, and paint Frog Rooms - consist of demo of existing casework and flooring. Installation of new paint, epoxy flooring and base. Shared space consists of demo of existing wall shelving, sinks, flooring, decommissioning of existing fume hood to be relocated, removal of existing eye wash unit. Installation of workstations, new sheet flooring, and paint. Question Deadline 08/09/2024 at 10:00 AM PT Pre-Bid RFI Deadline The University reserves the right to reject any or all responses to Prequalification Questionnaires and to waive non-material irregularities in any response received The 155 suite will be occupied by faculty during construction. To reduce impact to the faculty research due to construction the spaces will be sequenced in the following order. 165 suite, 171 suite, 181 suite, and frog facility spaces will be demoed and constructed first. After lab 181 is completed with flooring, the existing fume hood in room 155 will be relocated into place and commissioned. After flooring is completed in room 171, the university personal will relocate the existing wind tunnel in 155 into the renovated space. Contractor then to relocate shelving from the west wall of 155 into north wall of 171 per contract documents. Faculty member to remain in office space 155D with access to Lab 171 while remainder of 155 scope is completed.
