Nevell Group, Inc. Standard Drywall, Inc. Align Builders, Inc. is the CM/Contractor for this UC San Diego project. The CM/GC is intending to prequalify/bid on this package, however UC San Diego will receive and review all bids for this bid package. General Description: Altman Clinical and Translational Institute (ACTRI) is located in the Health Science East area of campus, originally built in 2016 and consists of 4 levels above ground and 3 lower levels partially below ground. Project scope consists of expanding clinical services currently located on Level 1 of ACTRI into an existing Lower Level 2 shell space, L2E600 and L2E11. The proposed area will be designated as a non-licensed clinic (non-OSHPD). It is assumed existing structural, fire protection, mechanical, and electrical systems will have capacity and will not require any system upgrades. Scope will include associated modifications to fire protection, mechanical, and electrical systems to accommodate proposed layout. Main programmatic components include but are not limited to, a series of exam / infusion rooms, lobby, staff lounge, restrooms, and support spaces. The University has bid and awarded a CM at Risk Contract to Align Builders, Inc. (hereafter "CM/Contractor"). CM/Contractor is responsible for bidding and awarding all subsequent subcontractor packages, including this package. The successful Subcontractor Bidder shall sign a Subcontract Agreement directly with CM/Contractor, and shall be bound by all the terms of the contract between University and CM/Contractor. This Bid Package consists of scope including steel framed wall and ceiling assemblies, insulation, drywall and finishing. Includes work framing around low hanging ductwork for ceiling support. The work described in the contract is a public work subject to section 1771 of the California Labor Code. Contractors and subcontractors on all public works projects awarded on or after April 1, 2015, must use the DIR's upgraded electronic certified payroll reporting (eCPR) system to furnish certified payroll records (CPRs) to the Labor Commissioner. Contractors and subcontractors who have been submitting PDF copies of their CPRs for earlier projects must also begin using the new system. No contractor or subcontractor, regardless of tier, may be listed on a Bid for, or engage in the performance of, any portion of this project, unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 and 1771.1. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.
