Improve the former New York Central Railroad Corridor and sections of Washington Center Road, Coliseum Boulevard and Lima Road by constructing a 12- foot wide asphalt trail from the intersection of Ice Way and Lima Road to Washington Center Road, just west of the Interstate 69 overpass. Nicknamed the Golden Spike section of the Pufferbelly Trail, the project includes ADA curb ramps, a trail hub rest area, landscaping, new intersection and midblock crossing signalization, accessible pedestrian signals (APS), pavement markings for safety, commercial drive approach, bollards, a refuge island on Coliseum Boulevard, connection to Glenbrook Square Mall and other businesses, drinking water fountains, informational lectern signs, an informational kiosk, bike racks, bike repair station, park benches, picnic tables, a pavilion, wayfinding signage, trash receptacles, drainage structures, lighting, fencing, guardrail and handrailing. The successful bidder may be required to furnish a satisfactory Labor and Material Payment Bond and Performance Bond each in the amount no less than one hundred (100%) percent of the contract price.
