A timeline for award has not yet been established.** DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The project includes the construction of approximately 1.7 miles of natural surface, sustainable multi use trail within the Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park boundaries that includes 6,590 feet of new trail, 2,505 feet of trail partially completed in 2023 and two bridges across Tunnel Creek. The trail construction may also warrant construction of retaining walls or sutter walls along switchbacks. QUALIFICATION OF BIDDERS: Prospective bidders shall at the time of bid opening, possess a valid contractor's license, appropriate based on the project scope, issued by the Nevada State Contractors Board, registered and in good standing with the Nevada Secretary of State. Subcontractors shall hold the appropriate license(s) for their portion of the work listed. Prospective bidders shall also provide verifiable documentation and references of at least three similar projects completed successfully. COMPLETION OF WORK: All work must be completed within one-hundred-twenty (120) calendar days after the date of commencement as stated in the Notice to Proceed. The project is to be completed no later than October 15, 2024. PROPOSAL GUARANTEE: Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of not less than 5 percent of the total bid price payable to the Nevada Division of State Parks as a guarantee that the bidder, if his proposal is accepted, will promptly execute the contract, secure the necessary insurance, furnish a performance bond in the amount of 100 percent of the total bid price, and furnish a labor and material bond in the amount of 100 percent of the bid price.
