In accordance with Civil Code 9550, if the bid exceeds $25,000, the Successful Bidder shall furnish within ten (10) consecutive calendar days after written Notice of Award, a Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the bid. The initial contract will be for a one (1) year period from the date of the award. This contract can be renewed by mutual consent for 4 additional one-year terms. The maximum term shall not exceed 5 years from the date of award. This Commercial Sweeping contract will begin on July 1, 2024 and will be in force until June 30, 2025 with the option to renew the contract for a period of one year at a time upon the first, second, third and fourth anniversaries of the term, for a total possible extension of four years to and including June 30, 2029. Written approval of such extensions shall be attached to the copies of the contract on file with each party. Upon exercise of such approval, services shall continue to be provided under and upon the same terms, provisions, limitations, and conditions as provided for the initial term, except that the curb mile rate may be adjusted by mutual agreement according to the contract curb mile rate adjustment method
