St. Charles County is seeking bids for Detention Furniture Demolition and Installation. The St. Charles County Criminal Justice Center (CJC) and Juvenile Justice Center (JJC) are replacing existing cell furnishings. In the CJC there are two housing units with a total of 22 cells and in the JJC there are three pods with a total of 32 cells plus 2 cells in holding. The CJC has 11 cells in each housing unit included in this scope. The new product is being purchased by the County directly and this scope includes the demolition of the existing furniture and installation of the new. The housing unit will be closed, and inmates will be relocated during the project. One housing unit will be completed before proceeding to the next housing unit. Other work will be performed during the time the housing unit is shut down to relocate a wall light to accommodate the additional bunk. If all work cannot be performed in sequence, from one housing unit to the other, please provide an alternative price to demobilize and remobilize for each housing unit (Alternate 1). The JJC has a total of 32 cells in three pods and 2 cells in their intake holding area. The new product is being purchased by the County directly and this scope includes the demolition of the existing furniture and installation of the new. Each pod will be closed, and juveniles will be secured in the other pods during the project. Once the pod is complete, the work can proceed to the next pod until all three are done.
