The City of Seaside will accept sealed bids for the work entitled: Fremont Median Renovations Kimball to Del Monte. The work includes, but is not necessarily limited to the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary for and reasonably incidental to landscape and irrigation renovations on the center median islands located on Fremont Boulevard from Kimball Avenue to Del Monte Boulevard in the City of Seaside, Monterey County as shown or indicated in the Plans and Specifications. The quantities shown in the proposal forms are approximate only and given as a basis for the comparison of bids. The City does not expressly or by implication assert that the actual amount of work will correspond herewith and reserves the right to increase or decrease the amount of any portion of the work or to omit portions of the work as may be deemed necessary. Bidders are required to sign and submit the bid forms provided in the Proposal and Contract book (Book 2 Contract Documents). No bid will be considered unless it is made on a proposal form furnished by the City and is accompanied by a bid bond for ten percent (10%) of the bid amount. The successful bidder shall furnish a Labor and Materials Bond, a Performance Bond, and a Surety Bond. The successful bidder will be required to secure a City Business License before commencing work on the project and must possess a Class A General Contractors license or a Class C-27 Landscaping Contractor License at the time the contract is awarded. Pursuant to Section 1773 of the Labor Code, the general prevailing wage rates in Monterey County, in which the work is to be done have been determined by the Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations. Notice is also hereby given that all Bidders may be required to furnish a sworn statement of their financial responsibility, technical ability and experience before award is made to any particular Bidder. Provision is made for security substitution on payment withholds as provided in Public Contract Code Sections 22200 and 22300. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and the right to waiver minor irregularities or informalities in any bid proposal.
