The work for which proposals are to be received is for variable depth surface milling, asphalt wedge & level course, full-depth pavement patching, and placement of new HMA surface asphalt, on Logansport Road from approximately 2,700 feet east of CR 250 W to Kelly Avenue, and Wabash Road starting at 700 E. the county line continuing to approximately 150 feet west of CR 450 E. - Work for which proposals are to be received is for the construction and replacement of existing curbs and sidewalk, installation of new and replacement accessibility ramps, pavement repairs, hot-mix asphalt wedge and level course, hot-mix asphalt surface course, pavement markings and associated incidental items. Each bid shall be accompanied by an acceptable certified check made payable to the County of Miami or an acceptable bid bond in the amount equal to 10% of the total bid price executed by an incorporated surety company in good standing and qualified to do business in the State of Indiana and whose name appears on the current Treasury Department Circular 570. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of 100% of the Contract price will be required from the Contractor to whom the work is awarded. No Bidder may withdraw his proposal within a period of 60 days following the date set for the receiving of bids. The Owner reserves the right to retain any and all bids for a period of not more than 60 days and said bid shall remain in full force and effect during said time. The Owner further reserves the right to waive informalities and to award the Contract to any Bidder all to the advantage of Miami County or to reject all bids. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. The Work will be substantially completed by November 1, 2024 ; final completion-November 20, 2024
