Project is to resurface the existing asphalt walking trail and handicap parking spaces at Shell Point Park and to remove and pave the existing boardwalk portion of the trail. The trail is approximately 3,072 feet in length and 8ft wide. Scope of Work Resurface all existing asphalt pavement to include root repairs, cutting back grass as necessary, cutting back bushes and tree limbs to 3 ft off the trail, backfill and site clean-up. Paving shall be 2" compacted asphaltic surface, SC Type 1C with tack coat for bond. All root intrusion to pavement should be repaired with a total removal of pavement and underlying roots to 12" into soil and new compacted aggregate base as needed. The existing wooden bridge is to be removed and replaced with two (2) 12" culverts for drainage, compacted fill, 6" of GAB, and paving with 2" Asphaltic surface. Handicap spaces shall be restriped to meet ADA code with designated van-accessible parking. Site shall be clean and free of construction debris each day and work areas shall be fenced or marked with construction tape at all times. The contractor shall be responsible for all permits.
