The work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the work as shown on the Drawings and as described in the Specifications. The work consists of the replacement of an existing waterman with six-inch ductile iron pipe. The work is located at West Flagge Street within the Borough of Rockaway and includes: watermain replacement, site work and general construction. The work shall be completed by December 1, 2024. No bid will be received unless in writing on the forms furnished, and unless accompanied by bid security in the form of a bid bond, cashier's check, or a certified check made payable to the Borough of Rockaway in an amount equal to 10% of the amount of the total bid, but not exceeding $20,000. Funding for this project is provided by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development to the County of Morris. Therefore, the Federal Labor Standards Provisions and Davis Bacon wage rates and reporting will apply. In all cases, the stricter of the Federal labor laws, when applicable, or New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce standards (including the NJ Prevailing Wage Act (N.J.S.A 34:11-56.25 et seq., for public works projects) will apply. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:32-44, all business organizations that conduct business with a New Jersey government agency are required to be registered with the State of New Jersey. Bidders and their subcontractors must submit proof that they are registered with the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue by submitting a copy of their Business Registration Certificate prior to Contract award.
