Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Springfield, Missouri. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

https://www.bizjournals.com/kansascity/news/2024/09/17/kc-streetcar-main-street-shutdown.html Service for the Kansas City streetcar will shut down for about a month as officials prepare to connect the existing route with a southern extension along Main Street. The streetcar will close to passengers around Sept. 30, the Kansas City Streetcar Authority said in a Monday release. At that time, workers will begin construction to tie together the extension and the existing route. That work also will alter car traffic beginning Sept. 23. Heading north, Main will be closed between Pershing Road and 20th Street. The southbound portion of Main along that stretch will remain open. Streetcar Constructionexpand Here's what streetcar construction looked like in 2022. The Main Street extension now is nearly finished. Adam Vogler I KCBJ The extension is under construction along a 3.5-mile stretch on Main between the University of Missouri-Kansas City campus and Union Station. In July, the Streetcar Authority said construction was about 90% complete. The $351.7 million project is scheduled to finish late this year and open to riders early next year. Construction in this final phase will include infrastructure improvements and final track placement around the Pershing Road area, as well as adding a new platform and shelter by Union Station and installing an arrival time sign. The existing route runs between Union Station and the River Market. While it's shut down, Kansas City buses will operate along the route, arriving every 15-20 minutes, according to the release. There will be no fares. A second streetcar extension also is underway, a 0.7-mile route between the River Market, at Third Street and Grand Boulevard, and the middle of Berkley Riverfront. That $61.1 million project is targeted to mostly wrap up by the end of 2025 and open in 2026. --------------------------- Design, acquire right-of-way, easements, or real property, and construct improvements to Grand Street near the proposed improvements to Missouri State University's pedestrian underpass. These improvements could include sidewalks, a multi-use path, quality of place enhancements, and new turn lanes. The project is included in the City's 2025-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of September 16, 2025, construction is funded in 2025-2026. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
