Selective Door Upgrades at SPS High Schools: Project#621636 Central HS Glendale HS Hillcrest HS Kickapoo HS Parkview HS Study Alternative Center Question Deadline 10/09/2025 at 4:30 PM CT ABOUT THE DISTRICT The District provides education for over 24,000 students in K-12 and is the largest district in Missouri. Its boundaries cover over 138 square miles and encompass the City of Springfield, Missouri and parts of the City of Battlefield and Greene County. The District's facilities currently include the following: 29 elementary schools (K-5), 2 elementary schools (K-4), 6 middle schools (6-8), 1 intermediate school (5-6), 4 combination schools (K-8), 5 high schools (9-12), and 6 early childhood centers. In addition to these school buildings, the District has a center for gifted education and a center for alternative education. The District owns and maintains six support facilities providing administrative, operational, and educational services. Doors identified in the scope to be replaced will be replaced with the same style of door. See DIV 08 for door hardware specifics. New 3M Ultra S800 security film will need to be installed on new doors that have glass. Doors that require paint shall be painted as follows: Primer: Sherwin Williams Extreme bond primer. Paint: Sherwin Williams Water based alkyd urethane (WBAU). Color: seal skin (low sheen/satin), unless Owner states otherwise. 2 coats required. All doors need to be sanded, cleaned, and prepped properly before priming and painting. Door frames will need to be painted where new doors are installed. Contractor responsibility to dispose of old doors/frames/hardware unless Owner states otherwise. The District reserves the right to award by line, by group, all or none. KHS Door 3 - Metal door with 6x30 window kit, security film required on glass. Reuse continuous hinges. KHS Door 26 - Metal door with 6x30 window kit, security film required on glass. Existing hardware will be reused. The windows above door do not need to be replaced, door and frame can be replaced without removing windows. KHS Door 27 - Metal door with 6x30 window kit, security film required on glass. Reuse the one panic that is new. PHS Door 2 - new hollow metal door, panics, closers. PHS Door 18 - replace frame and door, reuse panics and lever, add new closers, add new keyed removable mullion PHS Door 19 (ALTERNATE #1 ON BID FORM) - replace door and frame and all associated glass/frame. Reuse panics, add new closers, add keyed removable mullion. Security film. PHS Door 23 - new wide style aluminum door, 10" bottom rail, new panics, new closers and pull, security film PHS Door 24 - Replace door and frame, new hardware and new closer. PHS Door 25 - Replace door and frame, new hardware and new closer. PHS Door 26 - Replace door and frame, new hardware and new closer. Door 27 (ALTERNATE #2 ON BID FORM) - replace door and frame.
