The project includes resurfacing and associated work within the right-of-way of Canoochee Road, beginning at State Route 23 and progressing north for 3.23 miles to State Route 46. An alternative bid option for patching or spot leveling and crossdrain soil stabilization and pipe sealing on Excelsior Church Road, pavement patching repairs on Dutch Ford Road between the 15 Mile Creek Bridges and pavement striping 7.67 miles on Ollifftown Road from State Route 23 to the Emanuel County Line. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the Base Bid. Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, will be required of the successful bidder. Bonds must be written by an acceptable Surety Company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed in the Department of the Treasury, Circular 570, latest edition All work to be performed under this project must be completed within 150 consecutive calendar days following receipt of Notice to Proceed Candler County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, including without limitation, the right to reject any and all nonconforming, non-responsive, unbalanced or conditional bids and to reject the bid of any bidder whom Owner believes would not be in the best interest of the Project to make an award to that bidder whether because the bid is not responsive, the bidder is unqualified, or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by the Owner .
