Demolition, site work and new construction of a conference / convention center in Durham, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the demolition of a two-story above grade conference / convention center; for the construction of a 38,500-square-foot conference / convention center; and for site work for a conference / convention center.
This project is for demolition of the existing Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and construction of a new, 2-story combined EOC, Backup 911, and Sheriff's Call Center facility located at 2422 Broad Street, Durham, NC. The new facility is estimated to total 38,500sf in size and has an anticipated construction budget of $40,000,000. The project is scheduled to receive LEED Gold Certification upon completion. The work will be completed in compliance with the North Carolina Existing Building Code and Durham County's construction standards. Proposals are encouraged and welcome from historically underutilized businesses (HUBs).
