Bid is Cancelled. City of Anaheim is seeking a licensed contractor to provide slurry seal services for the parking lot at Stadium Gateway. Area: Clean and prepare approximately 152,000 square feet of asphalt; Apply one coat of parking lot slurry seal; Restripe to existing layout with two coats of paint; Cover and clean "Bott dots", replace broken ones as required during parking lot slurry and stripe; Repaint approximately 425 linear feet of top and face of red curbs; Reapply stenciling; Complete all work in two moves over a period of two weekends. Have valid California C32 - Parking and Highway Improvement contractor's license. Questions are due online in the Q&A tab no later than 2:00PM on May 21,2024 Summary 1. Provide all materials, tools, equipment and everything else necessary to perform the work per as specified herein. 2. Include minor items, which are obliviously and reasonably necessary to complete repair work, and usually included in similar work even though not specifically mentioned in these specifications. 3. Note that no additional compensation will be allowed due to misunderstanding as to the amount of work involved or lack of knowledge of any existing conditions that could have been discovered or reasonably anticipated prior to submitting bid. B. Preparation 1. Coordinate pedestrian and vehicular traffic at all times during operations. 2. Provide all necessary barricades, warning tape, and signage as required to protect walking and vehicular traffic from work area and work area equipment. 3. Do not damage anything that is intended to remain. 4. Protect all existing adjacent facilities. C. Cleaning 1. Maintain areas free of waste materials, debris, and rubbish. 2. Maintain site in a clean and orderly condition. 3. Clean all work areas prior to final completion before final inspection. D. Closeout Procedures 1. Notify CR, in writing, that work has been inspected, is in compliance with Specifications, and ready for CR's review. 2. Accompany CR on inspections to review work and establish punch-list items. 3. Correct punch-list items and notify CR of corrections for subsequent inspections within the agreed-upon times, generally within 5 calendar days. 4. Work Schedule A) Coordinate closely with CR regarding schedules and work activities, which are subject to change based on special events, business activities, black-out dates, and the like. B) Provide at least a one week notification to CR prior to beginning any work; proceed only with CR's prior approval. 2. Field Operations A) Provide barricades and delineate all areas from the time work begins until the work is completed and the area is open for use. B) Do NOT utilize a fire hydrant for irrigation or a water wash down source without prior written authorization from CR. C) Ensure that all contractor employees are courteous, professional, minimize disturbances, are well-groomed, wear a company uniform while performing the on-site work. Replace, immediately, any employee, as determined by CR, who does not meet the foregoing requirement. D) Ensure that all utilized equipment is well-maintained operationally, inside, outside; tidy; licensed and registered as applicable. 3. Preparation A) Ensure that all required tools, equipment, labor, asphaltic materials, slurry seal, etc. are present before beginning any work. B) Ensure that the site is prepared properly prior to start of work. C) Follow all applicable manufacturer's instructions and applicable portions of the current Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction for preparation and installation.
