The Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians (Tribe) is seeking proposals for interior remodel work on (Red Cliff) Reservation in Bayfield County, WI. Red Cliff is seeking to contract with a General Contractor ("Contractor") to do home (42 homes) modifications on multiple homes to include walk-in showers (contractor to use attached or equivalent), install new toilets, purchase/install new appliances, install grab bars, fix leaking ceilings, remove breezeway, install bathroom fan/heater, replace/remove flooring, repair/replace doors, seal concrete flooring, install carpet, address heating issues/install new furnace, fix/replace sky light, fix plumbing issues in bathroom, purchase/install hospital beds, build/stall handrail on basement steps, mold remediation, and other miscellaneous work listed below. All debris will be removed and disposed of by the contractor. The construction of this facility is being funded with federal funding through the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services. All provisions and requirements of the funding sources shall apply, including prevailing wages for all workers. Scope of Work General Construction a) Contractor to follow Chapters SPS 320-325 of the Wisconsin UDC code Shower Installation a) Contractor to remove existing shower unit and install new walk-in shower. b) Contractor will provide necessary wall backing for unit. c) Contractor will provide all plumbing work required for new unit. The Tribe reserves the right to select the proposal(s) deemed to best meet the requirement, which may not necessarily be the lowest cost proposal(s) and reserves the right to reject any or all proposals at any time during the evaluation process. The "bid guarantee" must be a firm commitment in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or other negotiable instrument as assurance that the bidder is prepared to execute a contract within the time specified for the bid amount. A performance bond from the (sub)contractor for one-hundred percent (100%) of the contract price to secure the sub (contractor's fulfillment of all obligations under the contract.) A payment bond from the sub(contractor) for one-hundred percent of the contract price to assure payment of all persons supplying labor and material under the contract.
