By issuing this request for qualifications, the Housing Authority has initiated a qualification-based selection process to consider architectural/engineering firms qualified to design and manage building and site improvement projects at the Housing Authority's nine public housing sites The Housing Authority intends to select a firm with which it will enter into a master agreement that serves as an indefinite quantity contract for A/E services. Then, after a negotiation of fee and scope of work, it will enter into a task order agreement with the selected firm for one or more projects. The awarding of the contract or contracts will be at the sole discretion of the HACB The contract for A/E services will consist of a Notice to Proceed, HUD's Model of Agreement between Owner and Design Professional (form HUD51915), a form of contract by the HACB, and the scope of work for individual task orders. The Housing Authority anticipates conducting the following improvement projects in the coming months and years. These are listed as representative projects for which the Housing Authority may, at its discretion, enter into a task order agreement with the selected A/E firm: o Porch renovations and repairs. o Parking lot repairs or replacements. o Playground renovation and replacement of equipment. o Interior apartment remodeling, including the combination of studio units into larger one-bedroom units. o Electrical, plumbing, and mechanical upgrades of various types.
