A. Your firm is invited to submitan offer under seal to Owner forconstruction of a facility locatedat: County Road 760 Brookland, Arkansas72417 Project: Brookland MunicipalCenter. Project Description: Theproject consists of the new Municipal Center for the City of Brookland, Arkansas and associatedsite improvements. Bidders will be required toprovide Bid security in the form ofa Bid Bond of a sum no less than5 percent of the Bid Amount. Proposals shall be accompanied by acashier's or certified check upona national or state bank in anamount not less than five percent(5%) of the total maximum bidprice payable without recourse tothe City of Brookland or a BidBond in the same amount from areliable surety company, as aguarantee that bidder will enterinto a contract and execute Performance and Payment Bondswithin ten (10) days after Noticeof Award of Contract. The Noticeof Award of Contract shall be given by the Owner within Sixty (60)days following the opening ofbids. The successful bidder mustfurnish a Performance and Payment Bond upon the formprovided in the amount of onehundred percent (100%) of thecontract price from an approvedsurety company holding a permitfrom the State of Arkansas to actas surety, or other surety orsureties acceptable to the Owner. Proposals will be consideredon the basis of cost. The City ofBrookland reserves the right toreject any or all bids, to waive anyinformalities, and to accept theproposal deemed to be for theirbest interest. Your offer will be required tobe submitted under a condition ofirrevocability for a period of 60days after submission. The City of Brookland herebynotifies all bidders that this Contract is subject to applicableLabor Laws, Non-DiscriminationProvisions, Wage Rate Laws andother Federal Laws, including theFair Labor Standards Acts of1938. The Work Hours Act of1962 and Title VI of the CivilRights Act of 1964 also apply. The City of Brookland encourages participation of small, minority, and woman owned businessenterprises in the procurement ofgoods, services, and construction, either as a general contractor or a subcontractor.
