As of June 26, 2025, the City of Port Wentworth has broken ground on the new Ghost Pirates Ice Cove and Amphitheater at Anchor Park. This $42 million development includes a 90,000-square-foot hockey training facility with two NHL-regulation ice sheets and a 5,000-seat outdoor amphitheater. Designed by JLG Architects in partnership with Zawyer Sports, the project is part of a larger recreational complex and is expected to open in Fall 2026. A general contractor has not been named.
