Site work and paving for a road / highway in Moorestown, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The work includes the furnishing of all labor, material, and equipment necessary or required to complete all work set forth in the Specifications and shown on the Plans for the construction of the 2024 Road Overlay Program located in the Township of Moorestown, New Jersey, including but not limited to pavement milling (Minimum 2" Thick), Surface Course (9.5M64, 2" Thick), replacement of concrete curb, traffic striping, and inlet grate head and grate replacement. 1. Completing the drainage pipe replacement on Ramblewood Road at the very beginning of the project. 2. Pavement milling and overlay to regraded specifications, including variable depth milling, 2" Thick HMA 9.5M64 Surface Course, and 8" Thick Base Repair (If and Where Directed). 3. Test pit two (2) weeks ahead of mobilization to locate gas services, water services, and sanitary sewer laterals. 4. Excavating or Milling the existing cartway, grading and compacting. 5. Performing roadway base repairs as directed by The Engineer. 6. Performing patch repairs as directed by The Engineer. 7. Replacing driveway aprons with aprons and depressed curbs as shown on plans and where directed. 8. Replace existing curb with Vertical Concrete curb as denoted on plan. 9. Replacing handicap ramps and installing new sidewalk as shown on the plans and where directed. 10. Installing thermoplastic striping and traffic markers at the locations shown on the plans. 11. Installing Type "B" or "E", "ECO" heads and Bicycle-safe grates as shown on the plans. 12. Installing 2" HMA 9.5M64 surface course. 13. Restoration of trench in roadway per project details. 14. Resetting castings to proper grade as needed to complete the improvements shown on the plans. 15. Restoring disturbed vegetated/lawn areas. As a minimum, all lawns shall be restored with topsoil, fertilizer, seed, and mulch. Other materials shall be restored in-kind. 16. Providing all necessary traffic directorsand traffic co ntrol in accordance with the MUTCD. Riverside Police Department must be contacted for any closure. Bids must be made on the standard Proposal form in the manner designated therein, providing one (1) original and one (1) copy, and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside, addressed to Moorestown Township, and must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Bid Bond or Cashier's Check drawn to the order of Moorestown Township for ten percent (10%) of the total amount bid, provided said security not be more than $20,000.00. All bid guarantees shall be accompanied by an executed consent from an approved surety company, licensed to conduct business in the State of New Jersey, agreeing to furnish the required Performance, Payment and Maintenance Bond upon the award of contract. The signed Proposal forms and bid security must be delivered to the place on or before the hour named above. The accepted bidder must sign the contract within ten (10) days after the Notice of Award or forfeit his bid security. Bid securities will be returned to all but the three apparent lowest responsible bidders. All other bid securities will be returned after awarding and signing of the contract and approval of the Contractor's Performance Bond. In accordance with P.L. 2021, c. 301, a contractor submitting the lowest bid for a contract that is subject to the Prevailing Wage Act, if that bid is 10 percent or more lower than the next lowest bid, shall certify to the public body that the prevailing wage rates required by the Act shall be paid. The right is reserved to reject any or all Proposals, in whole or in part, or to make awards to such bidder or bidders, who, in the judgment of the Township of Moorestown makes the most advantageous bid and to waive such informalities as may be permitted by law.
