New East Brunswick Ice Rink Facility Project 110 Tices Lane, East Brunswick, NJ 08816 The Ice Rink Facility Project is the building project consisting of a new 83,900 square feet ice rink facility housing two ice rinks, lockers, bleachers, second floor viewing areas, storage rooms, front of house spaces and back of house services and spaces. This bid is only for the building as generally described hereinabove. A separate bid for the procurement, construction, and installation of the "Ice Related Work" (i.e. the actual indoor ice rink and associated work, which at a minimum includes refrigeration, mechanical systems, concrete slabs beneath the ice and required appurtenances) will be publicly advertised separately. It is the intent of the Township of East Brunswick to award public contracts for this Ice Rink Facility Project and the "Ice Related Work" project at the same time. Duration of the contract for the construction of the Ice Rink Facility Project shall be eighteen (18) months from the issuance of a Notice to Proceed (NTP) to the lowest responsible bidder as determined by the Township. Bids must be submitted on the Proposal Form included in the bid package and shall be accompanied by a Consent of Surety from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey, as further described in the Instruction to Bidders located in the Bid Documents. All bidders shall also submit a Bid Guarantee in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond, payable to Township of East Brunswick, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount, but not to exceed $20,000.00. The successful bidder shall be required to comply with the provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq. The Township of East Brunswick reserves the right to reject all bids pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2 and any bid that is non-responsive or submitted by a bidder that is not responsible in accordance with applicable law., East Brunswick may waive any minor formalities or non-material exceptions in a bid in accordance with applicable law. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq."
