This project provides for the upgrade of existing taxiway lights and airfield signs to LED type lighting, modifying locations of in-pavement lights on the 12L Deicing Pad to align with marked positions and establishes paved islands at the intersection of Taxiways A, B, C, & D and at Taxiways C, D, P, & Q which includes marking, taxiway edge lights and airfield signs. The goal of the MAC for the utilization of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises on this project is 6.0%. Each bid shall be accompanied by a "Bid Security" in the form of a certified check made payable to the MAC in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid, or a surety bond in the same amount, running to the MAC, with the surety company thereon duly authorized to do business in the State of Minnesota. Such Bid Security to be a guarantee that the bidder will not, without the consent of the MAC, withdraw its bid for a period of (70) days after the opening of bids, and, if awarded the Contract, will enter into a contract with the MAC, and in connection therewith, give Performance and Payment Bonds as required by law and on forms furnished to the Contractor by the MAC. In the event the Bidder fails to enter into a Contract, the amount of the certified check will be retained or the bond enforced by the MAC. The MAC, however, reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any minor irregularities, informalities or discrepancies.
