Contract No. 2024-01 The work included under this contract covers the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, and equipment required to complete the work as described herein, shown on the Contract Drawings and necessary for complete operating facilities. The work under Contract No. 2024-01 generally consists of pavement maintenance on High Street which is located within the Borough. Pavement maintenance includes, but is not limited to, the milling of existing bituminous pavements, resurfacing and overlay, all excavation, grade adjustments, pavement markings and final restoration. Street Reconstruction High Street All bidders must be PennDOT pre-qualified as a prime contractor and must also meet the necessary work classification codes for the completion of the project. All bids submitted must have the contractors valid pre-qualification certification attached or it will be rejected. A certified bank check or bond payable to Southwest Greensburg Borough or a bid bond on the bid form executed by the Bidder and a surety company approved by the OWNER, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of bid, must be submitted with each bid or bids will be considered nonresponsive and immediately rejected. No bid bond shall be waived or returned because the Bidder has failed to or cannot comply with any requirements as set forth in the plans, specifications or any applicable statues of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or any applicable ordinances. No bid may be withdrawn for (90) ninety days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bid. FEDERAL SPECIAL CONDITIONS This project is funded in whole or part with federal funds. Davis-Bacon wage rates and other federal requirements apply and are included in the bid documents. Labor Compliance is mandatory. Contractors should give the best effort to solicit proposals from Minority, Women and Section 3 Business Enterprises for potential subcontractors.
