Site work for a road / highway in York, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

City of York, PA is accepting proposals for Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFB), and Street Signal Upgrades. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to make an award in the best interest of the City of York, PA. The work proposed as part of this Bid Package is as follows: West Market Street Rail Trail RRFB New Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFB) are proposed on West Market Street at the existing Rail Trail crossing near the Codorus Creek. Along with the proposed RRFB, new pavement markings/signs are proposed for the Rail Trail Crossing as well as to refresh some existing pavement markings. East College Avenue/East Prospect Street/Edgar Street RRFB New RRFBs are proposed on E. College Avenue at Edgar Street. Also, the westbound approach of E. Prospect Street at Edgar Street is proposed to be stop controlled. New pavement markings/signs are proposed for the pedestrian crossings as well as to refresh some existing pavement markings. West Philadelphia Street/Roosevelt Avenue/Penn Street Signal Upgrade The signal is proposed to be modified to provide a split phase operation between Roosevelt Avenue and Penn Street approaches. Also, a new ADA ramp is proposed on the northeast corner of the intersection which will be a design/build. Bollards are proposed on the southwest corner of the intersection to protect the Roosevelt Tavern frontage. As part of the proposed signal upgrade, the signal timings at the West Philadelphia Street intersections with Roosevelt Avenue, Hartley Street, West Street and Belvidere Avenue will be modified for new cycle length/splits. The existing pedestrian pushbuttons will be upgraded to APS. New pavement markings are proposed as well as to refresh some existing pavement markings. 2. The approximate quantities shown in the proposal (schedule of prices) are the best available estimate of the quantities of materials that the City of York will require during the contract period. 3. MS-944 The length of the Contract will be one hundred and eighty (180) days from Notice to Proceed. 4. Bidders shall submit the following with the respective bids: a. Proposal and Contract MS-944 (pages 1 through 7); b. Bid Bond (ten percent (10%)): c. Special provisions to Contract MS-944 (Attachment #1-A), signed and dated by the Contractor; d. Anti-Collusion Affidavit (D-7126 (7-09)); e. Public Works Employment Verification Form.
